Our Story

At Recharge, we offer PEMF, Vitamin D Light Therapy, Red Light Therapy and much more. The goal is to bring these wellness options to the community and help people feel better and live healthier lives. Located in Forest, Virginia, the business serves the surrounding areas and nearby communities.

Each therapy works with the body to energize cells, reduce inflammation, support recovery, and improve overall wellness. There are hundreds of studies supporting these therapies, and even NASA has used similar technology for astronauts since the 1970s.

Founder & CEO

Hi, I’m Barbara. Fourteen years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer, which changed my life and how I viewed health. After living in Israel and experiencing a healthier lifestyle, I began to see how important wellness truly is. Years later, I tore my rotator cuff, and after trying medications, therapy, and other treatments with little success, I was still searching for relief.

By accident, I discovered PEMF (Pulse Electromagnetic Field Therapy) at a chiropractor’s office. I quickly noticed less pain and better movement after just one session. After seeing amazing results for myself, my family, and friends, we opened Recharge Health and Wellness LLC in 2020 to help others feel better and live healthier lives.

I immersed myself in the world of natural health over ten years ago when I discovered the power of plants as medicine. My love of science led me to deeply study essential oils, herbalism, nutrition, the mind-body connection, and many other wellness modalities. My passion is teaching about God’s design for health—body, mind, and spirit—and helping others understand why alternative therapies can be so effective for healing.

I am a certified PEMF practitioner and partner with Recharge Studio to host Lynchburg’s first natural health community, Seeds of Wellness (SOW Lynchburg).

Hello, my name is Heather. Despite Barbara and me looking so much alike, we are not actually sisters! My journey into natural health began with a debilitating Lyme diagnosis that no conventional doctors could help. By God’s grace, I was able to conquer this horrible disease through nutrition, herbs, and other holistic modalities. Having personally experienced the limitations of our western medical system, I have a well-earned passion for natural health. So when God gave Barbara the vision for Recharge Wellness Studio, I knew it was the perfect place for me. As a Certified Pulse Practitioner, I am blessed to come alongside God in bringing relief to suffering people, and I am privileged to pray with and love on each person who comes through these doors. I simply LOVE what I do!!!

Leigh Anne

PEMF practitioner/ animal practitioner

I am a certified PEMF practitioner for both people and animals. My journey into natural health began through my own personal health challenges. After feeling dismissed in traditional medical settings, I was led to explore more holistic approaches to healing. Through that process, I discovered the power of natural therapies and developed a passion for helping others feel seen, heard, and supported in their wellness journeys.

Rooted in my faith and the role prayer plays in my life and work, I am currently pursuing advanced training in nervous system regulation and somatic-based practices. I am committed to creating a welcoming space where each client feels cared for and encouraged throughout their healing journey.

Cindy

My journey with Recharge Wellness Studio began when I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. I visited the studio and was pleasantly surrounded by women who loved God and cared about my health. I am so thankful that Recharge Wellness has and is a big part of my healing. So much so that I did not have to complete all of the rounds of chemo (only one was needed). I am now part of the team and a Certified Pulse Practitioner. I desire to help others in their healing journey. I look forward to seeing you here at Recharge Wellness Studio.
